 The 65th Grammy ceremony took place yesterday (Staples Center, L.A.). The Awards started been given before the 'big' ceremony, the one were the stars go, seat and perform and where the ' main' categories are given (The Big Four and the pop ones). This lead , as it happens every year in the Latin Grammys, to giving the awards while the celebrities are on their way to the Grammys or, like it has happened to Bebe Rexha, while they are arriving to the red carpet. In consequence,  most of the Grammys that Beyoncé took home yesterday were given in this other ceremony ( Best R&B Song for 'Cuff It', Best Traditional R&B Performance for 'Plastic Off The Sofa' and Best Dance Recording for Break My Soul). Even  the singer posted a photo with the awards before the main ceremony had place. That's why they should unify most awards in one ceremony, at least, some of the genres categories (like EDM, hip-hop, rock, latin or country), because these genre

The Grammys ceremony was celebrated yesterday. Let's comment the winners list! The first awards given were for the technical ones and for the minor genres. The first important award was Music video of the year , given to Beyoncé, WizKid and Blue Ivy's Brown Skin Girl. It was the first of the night for the Beyoncé and the first one for WizKid and Blue Ivy, included as writer of the song. Her participation is 'singing/talking' the chorus twice. She is the second youngest winner. Beyoncé won 4 Grammys yesterday. With a total of 28 Grammys, she is crowned the vocalist with more grammys in history. It's funny how the Academy keeps on blessing her so hard when she and Jay-z have disregarded and mocked the awards. The same happens with Kanye, who won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Album . If Kanye tries, he can make fun of the Grammys again and win one  next year.  In 2018, Grady Smith, released one of his most famous videos, 'This beat is killing country music'(Stop the snaps)' , in which he pointed out the excessive use of claps or snap tracks in country music. Often used in pop music (as it is shown in the video, for example, in Halsey's Without Me), the trend became a must in country pop and more in the boyfriend country subgenre, forgetting the use of country instruments for the confort and simplicity of the snap beat.  Two years later the beat keeps on pop music and on  mainstream country music, like in Gabby Barrett's I Hope . Its spread has been so huge that it is almost in every genre, in latin melodic pop too !  Latin music is crammed by reggaeton and latin trap, as I said in my last post, and there is so little space for latin melodic pop.  2021 Grammy nominations have been announced. Beyoncé is the most nominated artist this year for the unnoticed Black Parade and for her film for The Lion King:The Gift.  There are big snubs like The Weeknd, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Summer Walker and more. Let's get into it ! 1. Grammys do not know how to classify songs with trapbeats sang by pop singers . It happened with Ariana Grande 's  7 rings, nominated last year for Best Pop Solo Performance and it is  the same with Yummy and Changes. Do you remember the tweets talking bout 'R&Bieber' and that it was like a Chris Brown song? Well, for the Academy is totally pop. Grammys just do not know how to classify the plenty of songs that top the charts and that have mix trap with pop or that are simply trap. I guess The Academy is trying to nominate the new direction of pop music, but forgetting, for example, 80s influenced tracks, as The Weeknd synths tracks ' Blinding Lights'.  2.  2020 Latin Grammys' nominations have been announced today, just  hours ago. As Rolling Stone Magazine says,'J Balvin leads this year's nominations with 13, followed by Bad Bunny with nine nominations and Ozuna with eight;Anuel AA, Josh Gudwin and Collin Leonard each received seven nominations'. This proves reggaeton predominance , which separates from last year's controversy. A lot of Reggaeton artists (Daddy Yankee,Karol G , Maluma...) dennounced the lack of  reggaeton's protagonism , launching the hashtag #SinReggaetonNoHayLatinGrammys.
