Con un nuevo proyecto previsto para algún momento de 2024, hoy analizamos el que, posiblemente, sea el álbum más auténtico y personal del cantante de Los Ángeles. Nueve años después, Wildheart sigue estableciéndose como el conjunto más cohesivo de Miguel. Wildheart se lanzó en 2015 , después de que triunfara comercialmente con su disco Kaleidoscope Dream (KD), publicado en 2012, por el que ganó un premio Grammy, gracias a Adorn . Pese a llevar unos años en la escena, Miguel consiguió con KD disco afianzarse en el terreno del R&B americano. Wildheart es la verdadera carta de presentación de Miguel , tanto personal como artística. El que fuera single de su primer álbum de estudio (‘All I Want Is You’) está experimentando un gran éxito viral y ha provocado que vuelva a entrar en el Billboard Hot 100.  Casi trece años después de su lanzamiento, ‘Sure thing’ de Miguel inunda Tiktok. Extraído de su primer proyecto, el sencillo se conforma a partir de la metáfora de que Miguel complementará y acompañará siempre a su amada ( If you be the cash, I’ll be the rubber band’ ). La sucesión de metáforas abarca desde lo más directo al más poético estribillo. La versión que inunda Tiktok es la sped up , como se está poniendo de moda en la plataforma y que se conecta con el creciente gusto por el nightcore . Muestra de ello es que se haya colado en el top100 de spotify la versión sped up de ‘ Escapism ’ , la versión del exitoso single de Raye ( ft 070 Shake) .  En el vídeo vemos a un Miguel enfundado en una gabardina de cuero, marcándose unos pasos de baile (intentando buscar su estilo artístico) con unas gafas de sol, que casi

 Miguel has dropped today the music video for 'Funeral', a song that was released on last year's November first - yes you  heard it right.  The song did not have so much success and it was, supposedly, the lead single for an EP, set to be released last winter. The track is dark. Miguel is  not afraid of connecting religion and death  references with desire. You can feel a bit of rawness ('blood on the carpet'). Maybe it is the darkness what has not helped to pop the song. Miguel had previously talked or added religious references in the past, as in Wildheart (whose review you can read by clicking on 'album reviews'), like in'Coffee' ('two lost angels discover salvation').  Despite the song can sound different from Miguel's previous work, we still have vibrant vocals in the pre-chorus. It has been five years since Miguel dropped Wildheart . The album fuses R&B with rock but making it sound as Contemporary or Progressive R&B.  This is Miguel's most risky proyect. Musically, the rock sound separates the record from Miguel's others, but beyond of that , Miguel was trying to show who he was. He wanted to define himself artistically and that is clear even in the title ( Wildheart ). As he said in an interview to Aesthetic magazine in 2018 ' it’s about knowing what you want enough to actually do it' . This is Miguel pursuing what he wants until he finally reaches it. The record starts with ' a beautiful exit'  , a piece that acts as an interlude and since the firsts seconds shows how rock-influenced it is . The track captures the spirit of the title when he sings ' Don't ever sell yourself short, sell your sad things/ Accept the new, don't mangle on the past/ Believe yourself, trust your intuition/ You're here for a reason
